The meaning of AURICULA PURPLE is a dark reddish purple that is redder and less strong than patriarch or amaranth and redder, stronger, and slightly lighter than raisin purple. They will always perform best in the protected environment of a cold greenhouse. Full sun is fine in higher elevation and/or cooler regions, otherwise needs a place without afternoon heat. Show auriculas will grow outside in a sheltered position but heavy rain and wind will wash away the meal on the flowers and foliage. Ready late March- Purple striped with dark purple and cream.
